Staff Spotlight: Claude Iradukunda – Program Manager

At Peace Residential Care, we are fortunate to have dedicated team members who go above and beyond to provide exceptional care and support. This month, we spotlight Claude Iradukunda, our Program Manager, whose passion and commitment help create a nurturing and empowering environment for our clients.
Claude oversees the daily operations of our residential, home, and community support programs, ensuring that each participant receives person-centered care tailored to their unique needs. For him, the most fulfilling part of his work is witnessing residents gain confidence, independence, and happiness—milestones that make every effort worthwhile. One particularly memorable moment was when a client who had previously struggled with communication expressed their needs clearly for the first time. Seeing the joy on their face and the pride felt by their family and our team reinforced why this work is so impactful.

With one year at PRC, Claude was drawn to the organization because of its strong commitment to inclusivity and empowerment. His passion for advocacy drives him to ensure that every individual, regardless of ability, has the opportunity to lead a fulfilling and meaningful life. He stays motivated by reflecting on the transformative impact of his work and by collaborating with a dedicated team that shares the same mission.

Claude enjoys music, working out, and reading outside of work. These activities help him stay energized and bring creativity and mindfulness to his caregiving approach. He even incorporates his interests into activities with clients, creating engaging and joyful experiences for them. His advice to anyone considering this field is to "Stay patient, be compassionate, and celebrate every step of progress. The bonds you build and the moments you share will last a lifetime."
