PRC August Newsletter
Note from our Chief Operations Officer
Dear Friends,
I hope you are enjoying these final weeks of summer.
As we move through August, I want to take a moment to thank our staff for the care, patience, and commitment you bring to Peace Residential Care each day. The work we do is deeply personal. It is found in the everyday moments, helping someone through a difficult day, celebrating progress, listening, encouraging, and simply being present.
I continue to be grateful for the opportunity to serve as the Chief Operating Officer and to work alongside a team committed to providing compassionate and respectful care.
As summer begins to wind down and we prepare for the months ahead, let us continue looking out for one another and creating homes where the people we support feel safe, respected, valued, and included.
Thank you for all that you do.

📝Wellness Corner: Connection is Part of Wellbeing
Wellness isn't only about physical health. Feeling connected to others, having meaningful relationships, and knowing we belong can also play an important role in our overall wellbeing.
In this month’s Wellness Blog, we look at why human connection matters and share simple ways we can strengthen it in our everyday lives—at home, at work, and in our communities.

🔔Family Reminder
As summer schedules become busier, we encourage families to stay connected with their loved ones through visits, phone calls, or video chats whenever possible. These connections play an important role in supporting emotional well-being and strengthening relationships.
If you have any questions or would like to schedule a visit, please reach out to us and we can make that happen.
🗓️Around our Community
Looking for an opportunity to get out and enjoy our community? Late summer is a great time to explore Bangor! Consider a Sunday visit to the Bangor Farmers’ Market, a trip to the Bangor Public Library, or some time outdoors at one of Bangor’s local parks.
We encourage our teams to look for opportunities that match the interests and abilities of the individuals we support. A simple community outing can be a great opportunity for recreation, independence, connection, and fun.
